Maverick Cafe is located in the heart of Melbourne CBD, as part of the refurbishment of 80 Collins Street Building Complex. Our approach for the project was to provide a functional and efficient floor plan while achieving a cosy and relaxed atmosphere. The shape of the tenancy is quite deep and narrow - limiting natural light reaching the rear of portion of the café. By carefully selecting material and colour palettes, we decided to utilise this pre-existing condition and created a pub-like design at the rear of the café which contrasts wonderfully to the bright and airy café entrance.
